Top Clubs In North Carolina

Of course each and every one of us think we play for the best club in NC. That hopefully is why we are their (Or location may play a role).

But what about the others? I am curious which you feel the top 5 clubs (Or 4 plus yours) are in North Carolina.

Criteria? Who cares its your opinion. Use whatever criteria you would like.

Mine are as follows:

1-CSA
2-CASL
3-TCYSA
4-GYSA
5-HFC

Is your list based on "warm and fuzzy" or some other tangible criteria? My guess is warm and fuzzy while impaired........

I based my criteria off of "success" I have seen on the field.

"success you have seen on the field". Does this mean that you only consider what you've actually seen yourself? Or are you talking about results that appear in competitions? If so which ones? Tournaments, State Cups, Region III, Academy? Girls, Boys?

To be honest, I never even think about it. There are so many good clubs in the state, it doesn't seem like it matters much.

As a parent, you want to put your kid in the best situation for them. If they aren't in a good situation, it doesn't matter how many trophies are in the trophy case. There have been plenty of age or gender specific teams that are a great option that don't happen to be at the biggest clubs.

Nice that NC soccer is so strong. Lots of options.

Hold on here...

Are your top five based on quality, cost or cockiness?

Because if you benefit from having a club in a major metro area so your numbers are good and then bring in some English guy (like the english have a proven track record now a days...now you should be consider to be a top 5 club?

It is about playing the game the RIGHT WAY!

Long Live The Under Dog!

To be honest, based on the number of players that NC placed on the 97 Boys Regional and National teams as compared to Florida, our clubs are not doing all that well.

I have no problem with small clubs.

In fact I think highly of a few. For instance both Weddington & Catawba both have a nice program,.

On the other hand, a large club does not exactly ensure success (See CUFC for details on how to be a large club and have terrible talent)

To each their own.
